Today’s project brings the legendary Crater Cobras to life—painted in their distinctive forest green and robin’s-egg blue, complete with their coiled golden cobra insignia. These battle-hardened mercenaries have stomped through the BattleTech universe with their tactical precision, and now they’re stomping onto the tabletop.

Each ‘Mech in the lance features their unique camouflage and freehand details to make them stand out on any battlefield. The golden cobra insignia shines against their bold color scheme, making this unit as striking as it is deadly. From fade attacks to pincer maneuvers, the Crater Cobras are ready to dominate the tabletop with their iconic tactics and style.

The Painting Process
Creating this lance was a labor of love. Each panel was carefully masked to balance the green and blue, with weathering to show their battle-worn history. The golden cobra insignias? All freehand, because no Crater Cobra is complete without their iconic branding.
